I have no criticism of the trip. I’m not crazy about a flight day that subtracts a whole day from the trip experience, but I knew this. My favorite parts of the trip were the Norwegian fjord cruise, the Fram railway, the Vasa Museum.

It was my second trip to Europe, and my expectations were fulfilled. I'm soon to be 80, and am getting a late start on taking tours and trips of this kind. I'd like to start with my compliments to our tour guide, Lily. Her knowledge of the history of Denmark, Sweden and Norway was just the kind of experience I was hoping for. Her individual kindness and patience is very appreciated. We had ample time to complete our daily scheduled tours, with extra space for some places to go on our own. My personal bucket list item was to see Edvard Munch's paintings at the National Museum in Oslo, including one of his "The Scream" works and others. Stockholm also is a place that I'd love to spend more time in again. The food, everywhere, was excellent, as well as the hotel accomodations, living up to being surrounded by traditional lovely conditions. We were not hurried off from one destination to another, and had time for mingling with our fellow travelers-extremely enjoyable.

Loved seeing the difference between the countries. One of my favorite things was the Flam railroad and the taste of Bergen. Loved the tour guide in Stockholm. Madeleine was an excellent tour guide. She kept everyone on time and kept us informed!!

There was too much time in the bus, but the real reason is that I found the hotels to be on average okay, but not great: one was terrible, one was excellent, and the rest were average.

There were a couple of hotels that were substandard specifically the Scandic in Copenhagen and the hotel in Leon, Norway (that is below Collette’s standards). The meals at the Leon hotel were also not to the liking of many. However, the Bristol hotel in Oslo was superb especially the meals.

Overall a great value for the inclusions of meals, tours, central and good quality hotel stays. Plus a great tour director and drivers. I was able to use their home to airport private transfers and they were great. We had air schedule changes on our return flights and their 24/7 help desk was no help unfortunately but I was able to work with the airlines directly to get home.

The tour was exhausting. Some of the included sites werren't worth it and I wasn't able to see places that I wanted to visit. There were too many places in too short a time.

It was a great trip with friendly people and superior tour manager.

I thought the tour manager was outstanding and very organized. He was a wealth of knowledge and had a warm upbeat manner in communicating with us. We had a small crisis while traveling and he spent time with us showing us our options and writing everything down. As it turned out we were able to continue on our trip but he made us feel confident we could manage if we were not able to travel. He took great care of us!!! Yes, this was our third Collette trip and would highly recommend them to friends and family. We will travel again with Collette because they have great itineraries and even better tour managers.

Would have rated at 5 star on accommodations but had frequent trouble with our room lock in Bergen. Otherwise all accommodations were excellent with great meals.

The trip was great and our tour guide, Mickie, was fantastic. What was a big fail was the Scandia hotels especially the one in Stockholm. Would not want to stay in another one. I also found the beds in all the hotels were uncomfortable but I accepted that the was how they were everywhere we went. Otherwise the trip was great. The group we were with and Mickie, our tour Manager was fantastic. Loved Scandinavia and Iceland was interesting. Loved the days we spent in Norway going to the small towns and seeing the Fiords. Hope to go back some day.

Never really dealt with anyone from Collette directly. We had booked not to arrive a day early and because of that we missed the introductory dinner . Collette reimbursed us $125.00. The next evening we went to the restaurant the rest of the group had been the night before. We had the same options for the meal - it was $150.00. We should have just ordered off the menu.

The trip was good places visited and hotels where good. There was only one meal which was not what alot of people did not eat and the so called tour manager said that is what you get to eat and was not willing to get you something else. The tour manager kept stressing he was not a tour guide but the tour manager and was so full of himself. If it was something to talk to us about it always ended but be all about him. He would tell us about placed to visit after we where leaving that area for good. When asked if we would get a map of the area we would be visiting he gave no answer. But when we would got to some hotels there where maps at the front desk. Which leads me to believe this was his first trip and he did not know anything about the trip or places we would be visiting. As I stated this guy was only there to make sure he got pictures of himself and it seamed like he was make up a resume for a new job. But over all the places and hotels were good. but would have been nice to get information at the sites beforehand.

The tour could have been much better if we had a Manager with more knowledge and was interested in make the trip about the customer and not himself. One thing I got to see was the Northern Lights in Iceland the was on my to do list.

It was a good tour. Our tour manager didn't mesh well with our group. Would have liked a little more free time in Stockholm. Some restaurant choices were not appropriate for an older group. Several dinners in the basement of restaurants with narrow steps.

A Wonderful Adventure and interesting cities to visit.

Every thing was wonderful from the Tour Managers and Bus drivers to the hotels and all the local guides who told us about the areas. Flights were okay, but sometimes we had a long layover, we left Iceland at 8:30 am arrived at JFK at 10:45 am and left JFK at 4:20 pm (I realize it takes awhile to get through customs and security) then went to Minneapolis, it would have been nice to just go to Des Moines instead of Minneapolis and then Des Moines. It was all fine, but lots of time to sit around. We got to Des Moines at 11:20 pm. All worked out well and I'm sure they work out the best schedule available.

Our tour guide, Miriam, was terrific. We had a small group and didn't reach the necessary numbers for the extra tours so she arranged similar tours to take the place of those. On the subject of extra excursions, if the tour is smaller (like ours) I wish Collette would do a percentage of the group as a minimum number and not a hard number.

We had 4 tour excursions offered, but because we were a small group we couldn't get the minimum number to go. There were 2 restaurants that were subpar, unfortunately both in Stockholm, but the rest of the tour was fantastic.

It was an adventure of a life time. Seeing 4 countries and 4 world capital cities was eye opening and educational experience. The fjords, outlying areas of Sweden and Norway and the exotic nature of Iceland, were all amazing. Thank you Collette for the experience!

Tour guide not very good, itinerary needed some help. Didn't really enjoy the first 1/2 of the trip but the second half in Norway was beautiful. The 2nd bus driver we had, Bjorn, was FANTASTIC and added a huge amount to the trip.

Tour guide (Mercedes Castillo Martinez)awfully rude. She didn't say good morning to anyone until everyone started complaining to her about why she isn't nice. She also leaves people behind. She gives one time to he downstairs the day before- the day of, she leaves whomever is not downstairs almost an hour before the time. I was one of the 4 people left behind on a tour that I paid for which is very wrong.

Bad extended tour of Iceland; fabulous tour of Scandinavia

The tour of Scandinavia was fantastic, but the extended tour of Iceland started out badly because the transport from the airport ended about 4 blocks from the hotel, as the bus was not permitted to enter the narrow street beyond that point leading to the hotel. The planned tour the day after arrival was apparently not coordinated with the hotel where our party of twelve was staying until one of our party, on behalf of all twelve of us, contacted Collette to complain about the travel arrangement to the hotel and to clarify the tour arrangement and details of our flights out of Iceland. I was very disappointed with Collette regarding the tour arrangements for Iceland. This was my 11th tour with Collette and the tour was more than satisfactory except for the tour of Iceland.

Scandinavia Collette Tour

Our tour manager, Madeline was knowledgable and attentive. The schedule was well planned. We saw a lot but the pace was not frantic. We had free time to wonder on our own or to just relax. Most days we walked between 6,000 - 10,000 steps. The bus was new, Clean, and comfortable. Our luggage was handled quickly and accurately.

It was a very nice trip - beautiful scenery!

The locations for the hotels were very good. I would like to know how much free time we have in the specific locations so more research can be done at home before the trip. It was hard to decide what to do with so little time to investigate. The tour manager was more unorganized than ones I have had in the past. However, she was friendly and fun.

I would have like more narration about the locations we were driving through when we were on our long bus rides. I never really knew where we were. It would have been nice to have tidbits about the area as we drove. I asked the bus driver what was growing in a field and he had no idea. The drive up to the top of the mt. to view the fjord was great, the stave church, museums (but not enough time allowed for those - should have been at least 15-30 more minutes), the fjord cruise, - lots of interesting things. Loved the Loen hotel, spa, pools, etc.I would like to see more cultural events on these tours - like Norwegian dancers, musicians performing cultural type songs, etc.

I filled out the end of trip survey as well. The trip in general was great . The hotels and there locations were very good. The itinerary was well thought out. Bus drivers were very good. The only let down was the tour director. We have travelled with Collette,Uniworld, Trafalger and Insight and normally these people are very organized and are a wealth of information on the area the culture the food and are very helpful if you want to do something different with your free time.That seemed to be lacking on this trip. The only other comment was on a trip with so much travel time and early starts it would be nice to have one free day in the middle,but I realize everybody may not want that.

Trip home a nightmare. Left in Copenhagen to make our own connections after our flight to Chicago was cancelled. Long layovers. Trip home took 12 extra hours. Instead of getting home at 11:30 PM Wednesday, June 26, we got home at 11:30 AM Thursday, June 37. Tour guide was a very nice person, but not very organized. Would like to have had more time to explore some of the attractions.

Needs work on free time and meal ideas for travellers.

Not enough time in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Too much free time each day and no suggestions given as to what we might be interested in doing ourselves. Frederiksborg Castle and Lunch excursion was cancelled. Stockholm archipelago excursion was described in itinerary as a “SAIL” through the islands when in fact it is a bus and ferry ride. No sails seen. Rewrite your description. October 3 there was no assigned excursion in the morning. We hung around hotel until 2:39 p.m. to take train to Oslo. No suggestions given to occupy the morning. Train Stockholm to Oslo was to be a “high speed” train ride. In fact it was the “milk run” that stopped in many towns on the way. At one point the train was put on a siding so another train could go by. No “picturesque countrysides were seen as we were travelling in the dark evening and arrived in Oslo at 11:30 p.m. Norway was very nice. Bergen was a wash out as it poured heavy rain all the time we were there. I am aware that it is a wet climate there.

Very nice trip but with a few opps!

Trip was well organized except: the day of the high speed train was a total waste. We waited around all morning in order to put out our luggage at noon, then had to be back to leave at 2:45 to go to the train which left after 4:00. We had two hours of viewing the countryside in a train that stopped multiple times, no dinner,( we had to bring our own) and then it was dark and we arrived late. Also: I had checked on the castle tour and knew that it was closed but a Collette person who answered the phone insisted that the trip was on. It wasn't and was canceled. We had to find at the last minute something to do. Otherwise it was nicely done.

Fun in Scandinavia.

This was an incredible trip through Scandinavia. A perfect balance of large cities(Copenhagen...Stockholm...Oslo) with a lot of natural beauty in western Norway. Our tour leader Angela was excellent. She educated us to Scandinavian history and geography.

Over all it was an excellent trip and I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in traveling. I just felt the stay in Copenhagen was too short and tour guide of Copenhagen did a poor selection of where to have lunch which short changed us at Frederiksborg Castle. Would loved to have spent more time at the castle rather than eating a raw lunch for over two hours.

I like Collette very much. This is my second trip with Collette. I was disappointed with some of the hotels that I stayed at, such as in Copenhagen the Tivoli hotel the chairs were very soiled with stains on them and in the dining area and also in the lobby of the hotel. The food during breakfast was not really hot the way it should be. Also in staying in Flam and Loen there were no refrigerators in the rooms or no coffee pot to make coffee in the morning before going to breakfast. I would rather had spent more time in Bergen then in Flam and Loen. Also some places that I went to Dinner there was no complimentary drink or beverage and I was not advised ahead of time that in going to some restaurants you had to pay for your own drink.

I liked that the Travel Agent I had in the past had informed me on Cyber Monday of last year that there was a special going on with this trip and so then I booked it in advance. Sergio Marquez was one of the best Travel Agent's that I had and now he is no longer with the company. Wonderful Scandinavia Tour

All was handled very professionally. Tour guide and bus drivers very personable, friendly, organized, helpful and fun. Restaurants for the meals excellent, only complaint was some had us so jammed into our tables when there where tables open. Do suggest looking at using another hotel in Bergen. First Hotel Marin is a great location but not supplying bath mats was awful when taking showers. Those half shower doors that are not sealed in the bottom make for floods and this was the worst because no bath mats. Also their breakfast buffet was not that great compared to other hotels on the tour.

I enjoyed our time in Geiranger. The fjord cruise was stunning. The Hotel dinning was excellent. Rooms ok, could use some upgrades. Second favorite place was Flam, taking the train ride, stunning scenery and the Fretheim Hotel was lovely.

Scandinavia August 2017

We very much enjoyed the Scandinavian tour and the mix of city, small town and great fjords. Good food a really good tour manager, wish a couple of the hotels were closer to city center with larger rooms, etc. Group of fellow travelers were very nice and buffet breakfasts good as well. Interesting sights and discussions of history and culture.

Wonderful trip

It was our first accompanied trip and we loved every minute. The guide *Personal details removed by Feefo* was excellent. The hotels were central and the booked meals were nice. The included transfers were a treat. The early starts were probably necessary but one or two later starts would have made it more relaxed.

When our first booking for this tour had to be cancelled by Collette, the Collette agent was extremely helpful in rebooking the tour for July. On the tour itself the hotels, restaurants, local guides, sights seen, both coach drivers and tour manager were are all outstanding.

All sights seen were interesting. Norway was beautiful. We appreciated the drive up to the scenic outlook after the fjord cruise.

Whole tour was great. Most memorable was probably the changing of the guard in Oslo. Only downside was there was too much emphasis on tipping, particularly as US/Australians already had it included

Natural beauty and history. Can't beat it.

Great trip. The tour manager was excellent. He knew his history, loved the area, and had great chemistry with the group. The office staff were very efficient in booking the tour. The car service was prompt, and the driver was very helpful. Time spent in the fjords was well-spent. Historic areas of the cities were interesting.

Most of the events were good. The optional boat ride to the archipelago in Sweden was o.k. Could have spent more time on a boat cruising the islands in the area.

Well-planned and thoughtful itinerary showed us the highlights of each stop. Appreciated the ever helpful and quite humorous Peter Camara, our tour manager. Peter was a fount of information, putting historical fact to what we were seeing. The hotels were first rate, the sights fantastic, and the company great. Had a wonderful time. Beautiful countries to enjoy with fantastic scenery and such a rich history to learn about. Went from the mountains of Norway to the Archipelagos in Sweden.

Very expensive in all three countries. A third bed in the room was appreciated, but the comfort of sleeping was missing!

A lovely taste of Scandinavia!

Dealing with the folks at Collette is a pleasure. They are knowledgeable and extremely patient. If the first person you talk to can't answer a question, the next one can. They know when to refer customers to someone with greater expertise in a certain area. We love the pickup and drop-off services portal to portal. The first time we experienced this we were wary: would our transportation really show up when promised? They did. This included occasions when we were embarking from home and also from various places in Europe. (Here I'm also referring to a prior trip in which we took an extension to London and were faithfully picked up and dropped off in Paris and London, at train stations, hotels and airports.) Collette's travel insurance is also very good. They are competitively priced and coverage is excellent. We always sign up for it right away. Our only quibble on this tour was in the planning stages when we paid to have "economy plus" type seats throughout the trip, and our seat assignments in place ahead of time. This worked fine on the overseas flights, but not on the domestic legs: while Collette told us several times we were set with our United flights as well as the SAS overseas flights, United had no such record. It took a senior Collette person a few days to detect the problem, and she let us know exactly what was going on, and said she would make sure her people knew for future reference. We were not out any money either. We like that when Collette says they will return a call, or email back, they do!

This trip included coach, rail, and ferry travel which made for continually interesting views and scenic opportunities. One thing that our Tour Manager, made sure to do was to rotate bus seating every day using name tags. It works! It's not a radical change, but it made for a bit more mingling with our fellow travelers, rather than becoming cliquish. We had a great group! Our tour quide was also extremely knowledgeable, imparting history, geography and culture lessons in a painless way. We made numerous stops for photo ops, lunches, shopping and bathroom breaks. He also was very good at handling any personal problem that came up--he is empathetic, good-humored, and skilled at deflecting any sticky situations that might arise. He could also keep track of the times that cruise ships might be in port and arrange our arrivals and departures around them! We seldom had to fight crowds. The tour itinerary is very good. Yes, it involves living out of a suitcase, but it's living in some very, very nice places. One of them in particular, the Toftaholm Herrgard in Sweden was a favorite because of its location in the country--so peaceful--and its fine cuisine. We highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic Scandinavian tour

Our favorite personal part of the tour was the beautiful scenery in Norway. I do not believe our trip would have been as wonderful with out our tour guide who was very knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to please each person. Colette should be very proud to have a tour guide like him. They have also included very interesting sites and history on this tour in each country. Our individual tour guides in different areas were also very good. I don't want to forget our bus drivers who were excellent , drove up and down mountains that I do not believe many of us could handle and were very helpful to all of us .
