Tour Activity Level
The activity level for this tour:
You’re a leisurely traveler. You typically take it easy and discover the energy of a new place by people-watching or soaking in the atmosphere at a local café. You can climb at least one flight of stairs, board a coach, and walk unassisted at a relaxed pace for up to 60 minutes without difficulty. You can easily handle altitudes up to 5,000 feet.
You like a balanced approach to travel. Walking two to three miles over the course of a day is no problem for you. You can partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour, covering up to two miles (with included breaks). You can handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance. You can climb two flights of stairs with ease. There may be 1 to 2 days on this tour when walking tours can cover 3 to 4 miles over uneven terrain. You can handle altitudes up to 6,000 feet.
You’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking four miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.). You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. Expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travelers who require mobility assistance devices.
You’re ready to seize the day, whatever it may bring. You lead an active life at home (walking, biking, and half or full day hikes are things you may enjoy) and 10,000 steps a day is normal for you. You can handle longer walking tours (more than 3 hours covering 3+ miles at a steady clip) and activities that involve traversing uneven terrain, steep slopes, standing for periods of time, and varying altitudes and temperatures. You don’t mind being on the go with some early starts, late-nights, and full days. You can handle altitudes of 9,000 feet or higher with little to no issue. This level is not appropriate for travelers who use wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility assistance devices.

Trip Rating:The tour was very good, the only problem was they crammed in extra seats because the group was so big, so there wasn't room to get comfortable
Thank you for your review! We look forward to traveling with you again soon.

Trip Rating:I felt as though the sites were well planned out and very informative. I would definitely go back to Poland again through Collette. We were able to visit several cities and churches and learned the history of the country which helped me learn about my heritage more clearly.
Thank you for your review! We look forward to traveling with you again soon.

Trip Rating:City tours were very educational. Collette staff member called me about a bad review I left. She was dismissive and short with me. Collette owes travelers money for the poor transportation they provided to JFK. Collette also needs to supply travelers with a caring staff member to help us navigate through the airport. We were left on our own. I would never travel with Collette again. Very unfortunate.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We have forwarded your feedback to our Traveler Relations team and a member of the team will reach out to you to discuss your specific issues and concerns. Your feedback is very important to us, we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve your issues.

Trip Rating:The train ride , excellent, seeing the country side pass you by, the excellent hotels,we stayed in, our guide Damian wonderful!. The whole trip was #1

-
Trip Rating:The trip was rated “3” and I was walking 6-7 miles a day. However, the woman I went with could NOT walk 200 feet without sitting to breathe. She held up the others and kept us standing in the rain… unable to walk the kilometer to the bus . Getting her through the airport terminals to catch flights and the Dulles customs was a disaster ! She wasNOT qualified for this trip ! Many times she kept our guide separated from our group so that Anna could stay back with her…. Denying us from her guidance. I feel this trip was sold to her only for the money… totally inconsiderate of others who paid for the experience.
Thank you for sharing your review, we have passed along your feedback to our team.

Trip Rating:The tour trip was well organized. I agree with the trip rated as level three. I was told I was able to endure the amount of activities. I should have gone with my own instincts. The level was way too much for me. I would definitely choose COLLLETTE again.
Thank you for your review! We look forward to traveling with you again soon.

Extraordinary experience!
-
Trip Rating:This tour of Poland was extremely well organized and paced. We experienced a vast number of key sites throughout Poland and had expert guides at various locations and arguably the best tour manager from the dozens of trips that I have taken. The meals were wonderful, the history alive and the community spirit among the travelers uplifting. It became one of the most rewarding and memorable travel experiences of which I have been a part.
-
Trip Rating:We toured much of Poland and from friends who lived in Poland came the assessment that we were visiting all of the most important places. The most memorable experience was Old Warsaw to experience how the area was rebuilt according to the style and structure before being destroyed in the Second World War. It was like being in a time travel capsule.

Informative, fun and exciting.
-
Trip Rating:This was one of the best Collette tours that I have taken (since the 70's). Itinery was extensive and informative. Tour leader Damian was professional, personable, helpful and accommodating. People in the group were all travelers so we didn't have any laggards. I went as a single and all of the hotels were pleasant and clean. The one problem was in the Radisson Hotel Gdansk - no place to put luggage. There was no luggage rack and counters were not wide enough to accommodate a suitcase. Included meals were great (sometimes too much food) and the breakfast buffet in the Mercure Grand Warszawa Hotel was the most bountiful that I have seen. Thanks to the personnel that made this trip possible.
-
Trip Rating:Great tour overall and going to the salt mine was most memorable.
-
-
Great tour
-
Trip Rating:Well organized. I felt safe. Tour guide was great. A lot of fun.
-
Trip Rating:I saw lots of places and learned a lot of things. A good overview view of Poland. The Salt Mines was my favorite place to visit
-

-
Trip Rating:Guide was informative and always available. Hotels, except for one were surprisingly great.
-
Trip Rating:Loved walking the streets in all of our stops. Felt safe and found it easy to communicate with the Polish people. The hotel in Torun was not up to par with all the other hotels we stayed in. Found the hotels in other cities to be friendly, comfortable and the food delicious and plentiful.

-
Trip Rating:Very informative and over all a fantastic experience.

-
Spectacular overall view of Poland
-
Trip Rating:Our tour guide, Damien, was extremely knowledgeable- but it was also interesting to have separate guides in the different cities. Damien acted more as a concierge and helped numerous people with everything under the sun.
-
Trip Rating:The tour manager, as mentioned, was excellent. I don’t know if I can pick a single best thing on the trip...each city was so very different and all had so much to offer.

Trip Rating:The Poland trip was enjoyable from the moment we landed in Poland. The tours were great, our tour guide Monika was excellent, the food and the Polish people were terrific. Yes, I would recommend Collette tours to friends and yes I will use Collette again for a European tour.

Everyone should see Poland!
-
Trip Rating:This was my third Collette Tour and I have to say I was truly impressed with Poland! I went with very little expectations and only moderate knowledge of the country and it's history - I had a remarkable experience. The tour manager, Monika, was very knowledgable and engaging. We had one misunderstanding regarding departure time for a morning tour and after some frustration on my part, she made it right by taking me and my travel buddy by taxi to meet up with the day tour. All of our excursions were top notch. Also, I have to complement each of the local guides we had - they were all so knowledgable, gracious, and patient with the rather large group of 42 travelers (all ages and degrees of fitness). My major complaint was regarding the air travel. I booked this September trip in February stating my preferred seating as an isle seat. There were a total of six flights from start to finish. I had a center seat on all six flights! Not ideal for an overweight sixty-six year old woman, especially on the 11 hour trans Atlantic return flight.
-
Trip Rating:I think every day was my favorite day! Visiting Malbork Castle, the town of Tourun, and seeing the Black Madonna were probably the highlights for me. Although I did enjoy seeing the Baltic Sea where I was amazed to see swans swimming! Oh, and the Salt Mine trip - you have never seen anything like this.
-
-
Poland is the Best Kept Secret
-
Trip Rating:An absolutely perfect trip. Very well thought out and I felt as though I took a college course in Polish history. Monika is smart and lots of fun . Other guides wonderful too.
-
Trip Rating:Every city and tour was perfect . Loved them all. Just the right amount of churches and castles . Our Lady of Czestochowa was special to me. That was my parish growing up in New Jeesey.

Poland is an awesome country, well worth a visit!
-
Trip Rating:This trip to Poland was a really nice experience and we were lucky to be able to see it through our tour guide, Monika. A native of Torun and several generations, we saw her country from great great grandma "Matilda" to the present day Monika. What fun. Poland has so many beautiful cities, seaport, salt mines and of course the very sobering Auschwitz. This tour had a nice variety of sites which included castles, churches and museums, as well as a toe dip in the Baltic. The hotels, food and locations were really good. When we had free time, we were in the heart of the cities and were able to explore on foot. The tour was managed nicely by Monika but could have had fewer people. Forty plus people was too many as there wasn't a spare seat on the bus. The tour bus wasn't always comfortable and really that is my only complaint. That being said, Our Driver, Andre and tour guide, Monika, did an awesome job of getting us to our many destinations.
-
Trip Rating:Enjoyed everything from the sites visited to Hotels, food and fellow passengers.
-
-
-
Trip Rating:Tour guide & bus driver were excellent. Monika provided history and local culture flavor. One of best trips with Collette.
-

Trip Rating:Highly recommend Collette for travel. A good balance of free time vs tour time. Good travel professionals who are very knowledgeable about the different sites. Great accommodations. This is my second tour with Collette. I am impressed.
-
Trip Rating:Had great free time at a beach on the Baltic Sea. Enjoyed historical venues.
-
-
This trip was an amazing educational experience.
-
Trip Rating:I would most certainly recommend Collette. The hotels were outstanding, the itinerary amazing and the guide was very informative.
-
Trip Rating:Collette provided my wife and myself a great ten day experience.

Great vacation, poor customer service!
-
Trip Rating:The actual tour was fantastic! Anna our tour manager was THE BEST we’ve ever had in the 12 years we’ve traveled with collette. What went wrong was: whomever booked the airlines mitt was terrible. Air Canada is the worst airline company we have ever dealt with! Either they or Collette screwed up beyond belief. When we got to the counter they claimed they didn’t have tickets for us and made us get out if line until they cleared everyone else, then somehow found our tickets. No one was seated where they were originally in our tickets. Some had to purchase new tickets! Secondly, when we contacted collette emergency help fir international, the lady in your end said we had to contact our travel agent! We later learned after finally reaching who we thought was our travel agent, that they did not book anything for us and that it was Collette who did the booking! Your emergency help desk is terrible!!! When we tried to explain and gave her what we figured was the booking number, tour number etc said no those are not the numbers it would start with the letter A. Nothing on any of the receipts, or documentation forms we received from Collette had anything that started with the letter A. She then told us then she can’t help,us and try to work it out with the airlines! Have a nice vacation! Needless to say we had to work it out on our own! Of course our collette representative and the travel company we book through would not accept any if the blame and put it on the airlines who said these mix ups were due to the travel agents neglect! Never have we had these kinds of problems! Collette has always been a good company for us but we are losing faith rapidly! When you are in a foreign country and have no one to help, that was a reflection on those of us who plan these trips and everyone looks to us and an extremely poor reflection in the company you used to be
-
Trip Rating:Aushwitz and the salt mines! Funding the dwarfs in Wroclaw! Our tour manager was the best ever! Anna went out of her way to make sure we saw and did everything we wanted! She went over and above the normal tour managers we’ve had in the past! !
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Poland. Please accept our sincere apology for the flight issues you experienced with Air Canada and for the lack of customer service you received from our emergency team. This situation and your feedback will be reviewed by the Directors of Air and Guest Relations in order to improve the overall touring experience for our guests.

Guided tour of Poland
-
Trip Rating:Very educational experience in terms of history and culture. Our guide, Anna, as well as the local guides added a very personal touch.
-
Trip Rating:Anna teaching us the national dance at a rest stop to give us some much needed exercise after sitting on the bus for an extended time. Also enjoyed the interactive Gingerbread demonstration in Torun.
-
-
-
Trip Rating:The guided tours were perfect! Each of the guides was knowledgeable and entertaining.
-
Trip Rating:The dinner and entertainment in Krakow were the most memorable. I'm ready to go again.

-
LOVE COLLETTE !!
-
Trip Rating:Wonderful hotels in excellent, centrally located areas. Excellent guide.
-
Trip Rating:A friendly, clean, safe country. Learned more history in 12 days than in 12 years of school.
-
-
Excellent tour. Loved the sights, foods, music, and the tour guide!
-
Trip Rating:The tour was not only educational, but you delve into the customs, language, and lifestyle of the country you are visiting. This is the first tour where the guide was actually from the country we were in and he not only spoke the language but talked about so many aspects of the life of Polish people. I saw this as a definite plus to the total experience.
-
Trip Rating:Bring in the squares of each city and feeling part of everyday life of urban living in Poland.
-
-
Great way to visit Poland
-
Trip Rating:Answered questions promptly and send correct invoices
-
Trip Rating:Nice pace to entire tour, nice blend of history and culture. Comfortable bus. Tour manager kept us updated with necessary information. If she said we were leaving at 9 AM, we left at 9 AM. Also very helpful and willing to answer our questions.

Generational trip of a life time
-
Trip Rating:Collette's planned itinerary to Poland was phenomenal! The tour manager they picked, Damian was absolutely amazing. This was a large trip but he managed to keep everything moving smoothly. The other tour guides, for each of the cities visited, were also amazing. All of them made the trip a wonderful and educational experience. The hotels and destinations we visited were spectacular. This family trip was a once in a life time experience. My husband and I planned the trip through a local travel agent, Holly Walker at Compass Travel. We traveled with my 80 year old parents, my 77 year old aunt and uncle, as well as my daughter and son-in-law. It was truly a generational trip. We will definitely travel with Collette again. They made everything special.
-
Trip Rating:Every single city and tour was spectacular. I think my favorite city was Krakow and Wawel Castle. Malbork Castle was incredible too! My favorite experience was our first welcome to Poland dinner where we were served a traditional Polish meal and had wonderful entertainment from a Polish Folk Group called Lajk Folk. This trip had a good deal of walking but worth every step!
-
-
Great tour - too many in group.
-
Trip Rating:Overall the tour was very good. What I didn't like was the number of people in our tour group - 47 people was way too many for the number of hours spent on the bus. We were very lucky that the entire group bonded immediately and everyone was always on time or early for everything.
-
Trip Rating:Very long list of favorites - Old Town areas of the towns were very lively during our tour. Czenstochowa, The Salt Mines and Auschwitz were most memorable.
-
-
-
Trip Rating:Collette arranged our tour of Poland from the very beginning (pick up from one location and transported us to the airport) to the very end (drop off at location ) with impeccable expertise. In between those transportation arrangements, every detail was expertly arranged and managed. Experience in arranging the total packaged was very apparent and appreciated.
-
Trip Rating:Our tour director, Damien, was pleasant and efficient. Each tour was well directed. We really enjoyed all of the tours. Please give our tour director a special thanks for a job well done.
-
-
Well worth the time and money.
-
Trip Rating:Well organized and most guides were exceptional.
-
Trip Rating:All local guides but the salt mine guide were excellent. The bus was almost over loaded. The groups should be smaller. Why are we restricted to one drink at a dinner?
-
-
-
Trip Rating:Excellent tour guide
-
Trip Rating:All I wanted to see and more.
-
-
Excellent customer service.
-
Trip Rating:Collette is 'right on'! They take care of any problems immediately.
-
Trip Rating:It's been 3 months since our trip. It was all good. Favorite memorable experience? I can't recall right now. If you want feedback, it's got to be done very soon after the trip. Three months later is too late.
-
-
above expectations
-
Trip Rating:Our trip to Poland was one of the very best we have encountered. The tour guide was exceptional in her knowledge of history and traditions of Poland. Anna provided opportunities to participate in some of those traditions with local foods. Her warm personality made everyone feel welcome and safe.
-
Trip Rating:This was my second trip to Poland with Collette. Most favorable experience would be in Krakow because it was my mother's home town. The entire trip provided daily memorable experiences.
-
-
Good service, beautiful country, great tour
-
Trip Rating:The best part of the trip was our knowledgeable guide. She used the time on the bus to tell us about Poland. She was professional but also approachable. With only on exception, the local guides gave wonderful tours of their cities.
-
Trip Rating:Great tour, the price was reasonable
-
-
Would think twice before booking with Collette again.
-
Trip Rating:Too much walking. In one week 65 miles of walking was clocked. On the flight back we missed our connecting flight as our plane arrived one hour late & the connecting flight left without us. We ended up spending that night in Germany which caused a great inconvenience as far as people that were supposed to pick us up in Boston on a different flight, day & time.
-
Trip Rating:See prior information left about missing our connecting flight on the day of departure.
Thank you for traveling with Collette to Poland. Your feedback on the itinerary will be reviewed by the Product Design Team. We are sorry to hear you missed your connecting flight on the return. Your comments will be forwarded to our Air department.

Great itinerary and service.
-
Trip Rating:Our Discovering Poland tour with Collette was a wonderful experience. The itinerary enabled us to make a circle of the county and visit its varied regions. The schedule of two days in each city (one in Torun) allowed time for guided sightseeing and a bit of free time. I was impressed by the beauty of the Polish cities, each one containing its own surprises. Too, we were able to visit eight UNESCO World Heritage sites in this one tour. I must make special mention of our tour director, Monika Slupkowska. She is very knowledgeable about her country, always ready to answer questions or find the answers to them, and a very personable tour leader. The hotel accommodations were excellent and centrally located. We very much enjoyed the meals of local Polish cuisine. I really gained a great deal of knowledge about Poland through this tour. I would certainly consider a Collette tour for future travel.

Trip Rating:The Discovery to Poland tour was better than expected. I truly enjoyed the country, Marta our tour director was fantastic, hotels were very nice and accommodating, local food was delicious and it was a very well planned out tour.
-
Trip Rating:The soul of Poland was reflected in its history, architecture, people and cuisine. As I reflect back, I enjoyed the marketplaces, churches and castles.

Trip Rating:I felt I had a good overview of Poland. I was disappointed in our Tour Manager, whom I did not feel was attentive to my dietary needs. The first night I arrived, tired an hungry from a long journey, there was no accommodation for me. I had to negotiate with the waiter myself. I had the same experience at a buffet dinner at another hotel and had a bad reaction to the pepper in the food. There were times with the included meals that I was hungry. Initially, my cell phone did not work because I was given the wrong code. After I fell, I asked Monica to call the airlines for a wheelchair. She said it was not her job. She finally agreed to call Colette when I repeated that my phone did not work. I asked not to be seated under the sunroof in the bus, She did so and said there was no sun. I sat in the back by the toilets to avoid the sun. I felt that she was not at all sensitive or accommodating to any special needs and only gave her a tip out of obligation. I know that I was not the only one who felt this way, and hope that others will speak up. Monica needs to know what it feels like to be hungry after walking miles all day. The local guides were very nice and the one in Gdansk was particularly attentive to caution us about the terrain, which Monica should have done. The bus driver was excellent and friendly. I would have preferred a much smaller group. I also felt we needed more time in Warsaw.
-
Trip Rating:I particularly liked the market squares and the amber shopping.
-
-
Outstanding service and schedule.
-
Trip Rating:We thoroughly enjoyed your whole production in Poland. Monika was a superb tour manager. We have one constructive suggestion about the air service provided. You need to schedule at least two hour layovers on European transit connections. Avoid scheduling transit connections through Charles De Gaul Airport. The processing time and distance between gates are massive time killers.
-
Trip Rating:Outstanding services and schedule.
-
-
Great Agenda, Great Food, Great Experience
-
Trip Rating:Our tour manager, Monika Slupkowska, was exceptional in all ways. The itinerary was very well planned and orchestrated. The rich history, culture, and beauty of Poland was educational, enlightening, and entertaining. Our fellow travels became friends.
-
Trip Rating:There are so many great memories it is too difficult to pick just one. Each destination was a special and unique experience
-

Trip Rating:Great trip

Trip Rating:It was a very good trip and the tourist guide is great.

Trip Rating:great time
-
Trip Rating:great tour guide. salt mines favorite
-
-
Very good tour but at times rushed
-
Trip Rating:The tour was well organised and structured well. However in parts it was a little rushed and possibly an extra day would be an advantage. I spent an extra day in Warsaw and without that I would be disappointed with the Warsaw segment. The tour guide (Dariusz) who was polish was excellent. He obviously had lived through recent Polish history and was thus able to provide first hand experience of life in Poland. His personality provided the "technicolour" to the tour
-
Trip Rating:A very good value for money tour and the single supplements were acceptable value
-
-
My tour guide Marta was excellent.
-
Trip Rating:My tour guide, Marta, was excellent and helpful. I want to go with Collette again.
-
Trip Rating:My tour guide Marta was excellent.
-
-
My first tour with Collette, would travel with them again
-
Trip Rating:I think the tour was really well coordinated, everything very timely. Cities spectacular..Hotel accommadations very nice, perfectly situated to walking distance to Market Squares.
-
Trip Rating:Tour sites well spaced, staying 2 nights in most made the tour more leisurely. Quality of food served in hotels really superb.i really loved all the places we visited. Employees in hotels most helpful and townspeople very nice.
-
-
Wonderful cities
-
Trip Rating:Marta the tour manager was wonderful! I loved the tour. It was my first tour. All the hotels were great, the whole experience was amazing.
-
Trip Rating:Gdansk was my favorite city. The salt mines were a wonderful. Marta made the tour!
-
-
Exceeded all expectations.
-
Trip Rating:Excellent tour manager (M. Adamo), full programme, good guides in each city, very good hotels, identification strap for luggage.
-
Trip Rating:Salt mine and Auschwitz were experiences like no other.
-
-
Poor Weather, But Great Tour
-
Trip Rating:This rating is due to the exceptional service provided by the tour director, Patryk Preiss. The weather was, in a word, terrible (snow, frigid temp's et al). But Patryk focused on what we were seeing and doing, and his always sunny disposition was welcomed by all. [There was also a blip re out hotel in Torun -not a good choice at all- but the tour itself (i.e. places covered, local guides, Patryk's added movies on the bus and his continuing commentary) was superb.] So, overall we give it a 5....and we have traveled to 37 countries in the last 37 yrs. Thus, we have a bit of experience. And you can't control the weather. In fact, this was our first "winter" experience....and it will be the last! Will do the southern hemisphere in winter in the future.
-
Trip Rating:Have already done this above.
-
-
-
Trip Rating:Good information before leaving on the trip. Made hotel reservations for pre and post tour
-
Trip Rating:Our guide, ***********, was excellent. Hotels were in good locations, but the rooms were not comfortable. Our time in Czestochowa was much too long and our guide useless. Because we were there so long, our time in Krakow was limited. There should have been an additional day in Krakow. We wasted a lot of time at lunch after visiting Auschwitz. The city guides were good, in particular, ****** in Krakow The bus was very comfortable. The gingerbread baking could have been eliminated Breakfasts in all hotels were very good
-
-
Seamless
-
Trip Rating:Great. Everything was organized. I wish the preliminary items were more visual with images and little less Word-document looking.
-
Trip Rating:Our guide was fantastic; we learned so much about the country and its history. I wish we could have stayed longer! I'd never been to Poland before, and this was a great tour/overview of the entire country. I would have liked to spend more time in Krakow and in Auschwitz, but I guess I this just means that I need to go back.
-
-
The trip of a lifetime...especially if you're Polish descent!
-
Trip Rating:We had a great trip...everything was wonderful, especially our tour guide. My only complaint is that the group was too big (42) to be comfortable. I have traveled with tour groups in the past (including Collette) and find that 20-25 people allows for less waiting time, less problems and more group intimacy.
-
Trip Rating:Visiting the beautiful cities, especially Krakow. The salt mines and Auschwitz was numbingly profound.
-
-
Poland is an Undiscovered Gem

Trip Rating:Fabulous tour and itinerary. Not enough time in each of the cities, there is so much to see. The tour manager was one of the best I've ever had. Krys was awesome! Did not like 3 of the 5 hotels because beds too small, rooms too small (even for Europe), and not user friendly. Too high tub walls to get over for shower, etc etc. Poland is an undiscovered gem! Just loved it - fab food, so much history to learn and hear about, just terrrific!

Tour guide was helpful and visible throughout our tour.
-
Trip Rating:The tour guide kept us informed as to what to expect the next day. The directions were clear. He was always around for questions and comments.
-
Trip Rating:It seems you can't get a tour that actually gives you extra days in some if not all cities just for some real on your own time or free days. It's too rushed and you don't have the free time that you think you have.

Tour yielded mixed results but tour guide's leadership made the difference.
-
Trip Rating:Our tour guide *personal details removed by Feefo* did everything possible to make the trip a positive experience for our group. A couple of the included dinners were not quite up to expectations and one hotel fell far short.
-
Trip Rating:All hotels were better than expected except for the Art Hotel in Krakow. Although this hotel had a very favorable location, its customer service was inadequate. CNN was not available and the A/C was not functioning at all when the weather was unusually hot. When a complaint was registered with the hotel staff regarding the non-functioning A/C, we were told it was performing as expected. That meant that they did not intend to do anything about it.

A wonderful trip!
-
Trip Rating:Everything was wonderful: the tour manager, the fellow travelers, the local guides (with one exception: *personal details removed by Feefo*), the Polish people, the sights, and the historical buildings. The trip was more interesting and more enjoyable than I would have imagined.

Trip Rating:I had looked forward to Malbork and was not disappointed!

WE HAD A FANTASTIC ADVENTURE!
-
Trip Rating:The bus was immaculate and comfortable. The driver, *Personal Details removed by Feefo* was excellent in every way. The tour guides at the various destinations were knowledgeable . Our tour director was very helpful and entertaining. One of the hotels was too old to be charming(I think that's what it was going for) but all were in good locations to site seeing an restaurants. There were too many planned "rustic" Polish meals. As this was our first tour, we had signed up for everything. Another day in Krakow would have made this tour better. That's why my rating is very Good.
-
Trip Rating:All the hotels, except Art Hotel, made us feel pampered after a long day touring. The salt mine tour was extraordinary.
-
-
This tour far exceeded our expectations.
-
Trip Rating:Very well organized tour. Tour guide and bus driver were outstanding. Good mix of organized tours and yet plenty of free time to explore on our own.
-
Trip Rating:Concentration camps need to be seen by everyone. Very historic cities. Teutonic knight castles were amazing.

This tour far exceeded our expectations.

Trip Rating:Great tour. Well organized. Tour director and bus driver were outstanding. Good mix of organized tours and yet plenty of free time to explore on our own. Good choice of restaurants. Good city local guides. Loved having the whisper headphones. Well handled hotel check in and check outs. We like the choices of hotels. We would have like an additional day in Krakow, because there is so much to see. The city tour in Krakow happened to be on the day the Leonardo painting was closed, which was very unfortunate. We really wanted to see the Leonardo, and an additional day would have done that. We took a private guided tour, and the tour director arranged that for us.
-
Trip Rating:Concentration camp tour should be experienced by everyone. Gdansk was a real surprise, as well as the Teutonic knight castles.

Trip Rating:Nice hotels in good locations; good food; plenty of free time; too many people on this tour--would like to see more small group tours (15-20); very good local tour guides who spoke English very well;
-
Trip Rating:Tour of Auschwitz; our visit to the National Museum in Warsaw; on our own, we went to a church in Krakow to see an ensemble play Vivaldi;

A Wonderful Discovery
-
Trip Rating:Agent followed up with our requests, gave us timely information.
-
Trip Rating:Poland is an undiscovered gem! Everything you could wish on a European tour in one medium-size country. Best part was the friendly, knowledgeable, tour guide, the excellent local guides, and the fellow travelers. Good choices for the included dinners.

Tour manger disappeared fast at the end of the local tour.
-
Trip Rating:The tour manager was ignorant. As we get to a destination, he seemed to be in a hurry, giving me the impression that he is avoiding us for any questions we may have. I had some questions in the city of Krakow -- so I had to asked the hotel tourist manager to get my satisfaction of what I needed to know. The same in Gdansk. The tour manager thru the whole trip only once said good morning to me. Otherwise Poland trip was a good experience for me but could be better if the tour manager had been more considerate.
-
Trip Rating:It was better than what I had anticipated. However it would be better if the tour manager was more considerate. The tour manager let one particular couple seated at the same seat (first row up front) in the bus thru the whole tour. There were no physical disability on this couple -- (being selfish not to share its seat) not letting anyone else sit of where they sit! My favorite was Krakow -- lots to see and do!

Loved Collette, loved Poland and will travel with Collette again in future.
-
Trip Rating:Fantastic travel experience and we absolutely loved Poland. The only draw back (which is unavoidable with this type of tour) is long periods of time on the coach.
-
Trip Rating:Krakow is outstanding but all of the cities are beautiful and far exceeded our expectations.

Poland Surprise
-
Trip Rating:The experience from leaving the house, the entire trip to the return home was professionally delivered.
-
Trip Rating:Poland is a wonderful country just lifting itself from the yoke of Communism. The last of the combatant countries from WW2 to start to rebuild itself it is alive with memories of that conflict. It has a much greater history than that and this now being portrayed sympathetically.

Some Good Some Bad
-
Trip Rating:first point - I do not think it very professional of the tour director to be drinking a beer in the bus after our afternoon break second point - If you want honest feedback at the end of the tour give us a questionnaire to fill out on our own and let us mail it in. Do not have the tour director dictate what we should put on the form and do not have us hand the feedback form to the tour director who is part of what we are rating. Most of the hotels were OK. The tour itself was quite decent but some of the provided meals were either incredibly slow or just not very good. The final windup dinner was almost inedible if you opted for the chicken and we were elbow to elbow and it was certainly not elegant.

Well coordinated trip with excellent guide
-
Trip Rating:This was my second trip with Collette and if anything I was more impressed with this one than the first. We had an excellent guide who handled any difficulties that arose with skill. Not that there were many problems. The different hotels in different cities were all excellent. The tour included city tours in each city that were conducted by local guides. Transport around the country was in a clean, comfortable coach with a very nice driver. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a positive travel experience.
-
Trip Rating:This was my favorite trip with any travel company. It was well planned and coordinated. The guide was excellent as were the city tour guides and the bus driver. The guide was well informed and provided information regarding the country's history and current events. My most memorable experience would have to be the continuous beauty of the country as we traveled through it. That being said, I would also say seeing how much this country has been through and recovered from is absolutely amazing.

Trip Rating:This was our first tour with Collette. Since returning from Poland, I have told everyone who's asked that I was completely satisfied with C0llette and will definitely use them in the future. While my wife and I have already booked a tour with Viking next year, we will be seriously considering Iceland with Collette in 2018. The hotel and restaurant choices used by Collette were excellent. Restaurants suggested by our tour guide for other meals were also excellent. The local tours were all enjoyable and informative. All connections were handled flawlessly and I do not have any negative issues related to the entire trip.
-
Trip Rating:Our favorable experience was our tour guide, She was born in Poland and was involved with the solidarity movement. She was outstanding. Her description of her personnel experiences and knowledge of that period of history added immensely to the overall tour. Being of Polish heritage, I became even more proud of my background. Several tour stops stood out. We especially loved each city square, the solidarity museum and the salt mine. The tours of the concentration camps were also memorable, if only to keep us aware of this period of history, so that nothing like this ever happens again.

Trip Rating:The tour was very good and well organized.

Awesome Polish food!

Trip Rating:Great trip!
-
Trip Rating:The optional trips to the Salt mines and the Black Madonna at the church of Peace were very special.

-
Trip Rating:I have investigated other tour companies and spoken to friends who have used other tour companies and nothing compares with Collette.
-
Trip Rating:The local tour guides, with the exception of Mikhail and Anna were not of the quality I have become accustomed to. And although they spoke English it was quite difficult to understand them. But then again Anna who led us through Auschwitz was truly remarkable.

A great time
